  • What makes our Earth gardens grow? These beautiful seeds from Hudson Valley Seed Company! These beautiful Art Seed Packs feature heirloom and organic seeds that have been open-pollinated then placed into pretty little packages designed by artists. Hudson Valley uses sustainable practices, and in our opinion propagates some of the best seeds on the market. We love their vitality and vibrancy each growing season, and carry eighteen varieties of our favorite Hudson Valley Art Seed Packs that support pollinators, people, and the planet. Inside each pack is an inner seed envelope with growing instructions, a brief introduction to the plant variety, and more information about the artist. As an earth-based artist myself, I love the diversity and creativity of every little masterpiece. After planting the seeds, frame the pack! Available in-store only, pending seasonal availability, while supplies last.
  • Made in-house by our own earthy little family. Our seed bombs are made of a mix of pollinator seeds packed into a ball of earthenware clay and organic soil. The idea of a seed bomb started as part of a guerilla gardening movement to rewild neglected areas. Do you see a place that could use a little love from Mother Nature? Simply toss the seed bombs there and Mother Nature will take care of the rest: over time the seed bombs will naturally break down, and the seeds will sprout a variety of wildflowers. Each recycled paper pack contains 4 seeds bombs.
  • Made by our friends at The Mushroom Conservancy, we have Blue Oyster and Pink Oyster Kits in stock regularly. These kits are designed to help you learn to grow mushrooms at home without any specialized equipment. They are fairly easy to work with and include instructions for growing them in a bag of precooked rice or a bucket of straw if you’d like to grow a lot of them. The spores are organic and will grow organic mushrooms pending what you grow them in. Blue Oyster Mushrooms are particularly appreciated for their density, and can be used quite successfully as a replacement for meat in many recipes. They are especially wonderful sauteed in butter. Pink Mushrooms are a delight to the eyes with their unique shape and vibrant color, and can transform any dish with their extraordinary flavor profile. Cooking them unveils a delicious, bacon-like flavor loved by chefs and home cooks alike. Available in-store only.
